Phase 1

**PAYMENT PLANS NOW AVAILABLE FOR BOOKINGS ON REQUEST!** A full 6 week step by step Postnatal fitness programme of gradual intensity catered for any mum who is just starting out into fitness.

Phase 1 can be completed in a face to face setting in Portadown, Maghaberry, South Belfast and Armagh. If you prefer to stay at home chose from either our Online Zoom programme or On Demand option.

Phase1 is for any mum to attend no matter how old your children are, whether you’re recently postnatal or if you haven’t exercised in a while!

Phase1 is not a class. It’s a full programme that caters for all fitness and ability levels. Starting with a thorough introduction to your core, breathing, pelvic floor, diastasis recti and nutrition. After a full technique session on how to move correctly, the remaining 5 weeks of the programme gradually builds in intensity and complexity, covering a wide range of training styles.

To participate in a Phase1 face to face, you must meet the following requirements:

  • All clients must be at least 6 weeks post natural birth and 10-12 weeks post caesarean section. GP clearance to exercise must be obtained.
  • All equiment is provided for 'in class' and at home
  • An excerise mat for your 'at home' workouts may be required

Requirements

To participate in a Phase1 ZOOM, you must meet the following requirements:

  • All clients must be at least 6 weeks post natural birth and 10-12 weeks post caesarean section. GP clearance to exercise must be obtained.
  • You must have a light resistance band with handles and small pilates ball. (can be purchased on the Bodyfit Mums Shop)
  • A personal Zoom account is needed.

    Even tho I'd previously completed phase1 after my first baby 4 years ago I was still really nervous to sign up after my second. I shouldn't have been! From day 1, and even before on the WhatsApp group Aimee was so welcoming and friendly. I loved that it was a small group and before we completed any moves we were shown the proper technique and different stages we could use. Aimee is the best at what she does and she is constantly supporting all mum's there and making it fun at the same time! I've loved every minute of my 6 weeks, met some fantastic other mummy's and gotten fitter and happier in myself at the same time. I feel like I've gotten a little bit of me back and I'm so so glad I just went for it 😊

    Have just completed Phase 1 for the second time and can say it was just as great as the first time around. It was so lovely to be coached by women that are genuinely thrilled to see you succeeding in getting fitter, and starting to feel good about yourself again! You’re kept motivated as there’s a good variety of workouts and it’s different every workout - I really LOVED the boxing sessions 🥊 🥊 Same as last time the group of mums were all on the same page and there was no judgement for whatever fitness level you were at. I found the group chat on WhatsApp also helped to keep me motivated and accountable as well. Definitely recommend to anyone interested in getting out and getting a bit fitter after pregnancy!     I had heard about bodyfit Mum’s on instagram and when a friend of mine had already signed up, it encouraged me to sign up too. I went along with my 1 year old James. The classes are excellent. They are well paced, inclusive of all abilities but you can really feel a build on technique and effort each week. The group is small so Aimee (the instructor) has time to give 1:1 advice to help us to adjust positions and ensure we are doing the exercises correctly. The classes are a real feel good factor and everyone genuinely wants to get the best from each other - such a lovely group of girls, all in the same boat and just doing their best to get their mojo back! Aimee drives this lovely atmosphere and it really makes a difference. Aimee is such a fantastic instructor (and an inspiration in her own right!). She gets to know everyone and really helps to encourage us all to do our homework each week and keep us on track. She is also great at managing all the little people when they start to cry for attention so all the Mums can keep exercising! The portal and home assignments are all very manageable and a great resource to access in our own time. I would really recommend bodyfit Mums to anyone who wants to get their fitness back, socialise with other lovely Mums and generally just get out of the house!     Hi Aimee and catriona, Just want to say a massive thanks for getting me through phase 1 again. Only six weeks ago I was sore every day in the hips and back from putting on weight and sitting breast feeding a hungry boy. Now I have energy, feel tone coming back and stronger in general. I couldn't do it without you and cannot wait until phase 2. Not only is the exercise so important but also you bring community and accountability into it. The what's app and completing the check list every day kept me on track. Like I said I would let myself down but not anyone else. Catriona did amazing and was our biggest champion every day.     I completed Phase 1 and 2 following my 2nd baby 4 years ago and knew I wanted to do it again following the birth of my 3rd baby earlier this year. I have just completed Phase 1 with Aimee and loved every class. The variety each week keeps it interesting and Aimee encourages and motivates all the girls. Highly recommend to all mummies new and old to take a couple of hours and do something for themselves. Roll on Phase 2 after Christmas.

    Just completed phase 1 face to face & have signed up for phase 2, I am a person who's never done gym work or exercise classes, & I will be honest I was nervous thinking I'm not cut out for this! But you will be fine! The classes gradually increase in intensity & yr never out of yr depth, as Aimee can see where yr limits are regarding weights etc. Aimee keeps you right with technique so yr always doing the exercises correctly & safely. & there's plenty of encouragement to keep you going & push yrself. An added bonus of being able to bring yr little one is so handy! & if their unsettled Aimee will settle them so you can keep going with yr exercises. I highly recommend Bodyfit mums I've enjoyed phase 1 & look forward to starting phase 2.

    This was my 2nd time doing Bodyfit Mums Phase 1 with Aimee. The class is fab and Aimee is a great instructor. She makes you feel very welcome and comfortable and she also gets stuck in when the little ones start shouting. It’s lovely to meet other mums too and great to do something for me. Would def recommend to anyone. You will love it 😊

    So glad i went to the taster session at the end of October in Armagh - i had been thinking of joining BFM for a while & despite seeing snippets on social media, i wasnt really fully sure what all the block involved, whether id be suitable or if id enjoy it. i met a girl i know that day, both of us signed up & we be in daily contact with each other, both through the group chat on WhatsApp & privately. Week 1, Day 1, i was apprehensive just about getting started, but Aimee's approach & technique, attention to detail and desire to coach each and everyone to their full potential is highly commendable , and i have never looked back. Every new week & day builds on what we had previously achieved and i for 1 came out of the 6 week block, stronger, fitter, leaner and feeling more confident, i enjoyed it that much, i signed up for phase 2 & look forward to what that will bring & to see the changes in myself at the end of that block. if you are thinking about it.... just do it, sign up & start your BFM journey.. what a gift to yourself to start 2023 with a bang!

    If you find yourself in 2 minds as to whether or not to join phase 1, cast the doubts aside and jump in - you will never regret it. Aimee’s 6 week block is ideal for anyone wishing to give some exercise a go, even after giving birth. We soon learn how amazing our bodies are once we’ve completed the block!! This course should be made mandatory for all postpartum women as the benefits are all round undeniable, for body and mind. I love Bodyfit mums! There is no other service like it!!

    I started phase 1 having not been near a gym for about 10 years, but Cat was absolutely fantastic in explaining all the moves and letting everyone get on with a pace which suited them, but at the same time encouraging us all to push pass our limits. She is a real credit to the BodyFit Mums business and anyone would be lucky to have her as their teacher, you’ll also be amazed what you can achieve with this program

    Joining phase 1 changed my life as a mum of 3 under the age of 4. I was finally doing something for myself without sacrificing time with my little ones. It is so handy being able to bring the kids, and if they got a little cranky during your workout Aimee was straight over to settle them, encouraging you not to miss a rep! The encouragement and support I received during phase 1 was second to none and I loved seeing my fitness, strength, but more importantly, my confidence grow. I would highly recommend joining, especially if you are a new mum, the community is amazing. Thank you to all at BFM!

    I have done phase I twice now and it just gets better. This was the only thing that kept me motivated after giving birth. Going back to exercise, knowing I was in the best hands, with all modifications for the exercises and above all, the community!!! It's great getting to know the other mums out there too with the same struggles and sharing laughs. Every day is different and Aimée is a great coach and motivator. She pushes you and gets you out of your comfort zone. Will def recommend to anyone!

    Love this post partum fitness journey so much I have done it after each baby (4 times now) Phase 1 is a great introduction to exercise after baby. It is taught at the perfect pace to help you build up your strength and stamina. It is so much more than an exercise program the community and comradeship lasts a lifetime which is exactly what's needed in those lonely post partum days. The whatsapp group keeps you going through the night feeds!

    Phase 1 is the perfect way to ease you back into exercise after having a baby! Learning the correct technique, and having the core retraining programme was a huge help, and as it was a gradual program I really enjoyed feeling stronger each week!

    Phase 1 of Body Fit Mums is the best investment for yourself after having a baby. I haven’t felt as good in a long time both mentally and physically. It is such a community and the coaches are amazing. I couldn’t recommend Phase 1 of BFMs more!!

    I had been following BFM on socials for ages and thinking about joining, but was worried I wouldn't be able to keep up as it had been so long since I had exercises. Well, I'm so glad I finally took the plunge and joined! Catriona is fab, she shows you various 'levels' for each exercise to allow you to complete each tasks at your ability and be able to progress in each exercise! I am loving feeling stronger and seeing the changes in my body already. BFM isn't just an exercise class, it's a community of mums that support and encourage each other. I am so pleased I joined for both my mental and physical and love feeling part of a community of tired mama's! If you have been following and thinking about joining, do it, invest in yourself!

    I cannot rate BFM highly enough for any new (or in my case not so new😂) mums. As an exercise fanatic GP and mum of 6, I found BFM a life saver after having my twins. For so many reasons it’s the perfect postnatal, and beyond, exercise programme. I say this as a medical professional and mum. The programme is perfectly designed for any postnatal woman and both Aimee and Cat listen to each client in the group and tailor the exercises individually, especially regarding pelvic floor and core abilities. Not to mention the added benefits of not having to worry about child care! Also the big thing that I promote and am highly passionate about as a GP is the importance of postnatal mental health and how exercise and mum groups really play a great role in this. In my opinion the BFM community is a fantastic advocate in the promotion of postnatal mental health. And lastly if I could prescribe BFM to my postnatal women I would💜

    Signing up to Bodyfit Mums has been one of the best things I have ever done for myself and I can safely say it changed my life for the better. The programme has not just positively impacted my physical health but made a huge difference to my mental health. Prior to starting Bodyfit Mums, I struggled daily with symptoms relating to PTSD, Postnatal Anxiety and Postnatal Depression. Most days I avoided leaving the house and instead spent my time in a cycle of flashbacks, low mood and high anxiety. Just a short time after starting Phase One, my confidence and mood improved, my anxiety decreased and the flashbacks reduced to almost zero. Fast forward to completion of Phase Two and most weeks go by with little to no symptoms appearing. In addition to this, I have been able to manage my tricky mental health days without medication. I truly credit Bodyfit Mums for bringing about this change in my mental health and eliminating the need for medical intervention. The programme has improved my physical strength and endurance too with each class pushing me that bit further. Finally, the BFM community has to have a mention as it really is one of the best communities around. It is amazing to be in a room full of other mums, cheering each other on and supporting each other to be the best we can be. Aimee is a fantastic coach and really encourages everyone to achieve their goals and push themselves. I am forever thankful for Aimee and this amazing programme she has – it genuinely saved my life.     BFM for me personally had set me on a journey of believing in my body again. As a midwife I see many mums who post birth don’t know where to start in terms of their own fitness, never mind the time. BFM not only provides a fitness programme, but one tailored to each mum with options for whatever birth you’ve had and stage of fitness. It also gives mums a community to belong to, one which your child is welcomed too. I’m so glad I found Aimee’s programme personally and one I can highly recommend!

    From the moment I started, my nerves were put at ease. My confidence increased as there are options given for all fitness levels and exercises. The BFM community is incredible and Aimee and Catriona are always there for you. Hardest part is definitely starting but once you do, you wont look back 💜.

    Aimee runs Bodyfit Mums like a well oiled machine! She is so organised and always at the other end of the phone day or night to answer any questions! I have nearly completed phase one and I am feeling stronger after each workout and choosing much healthier foods. I gain more confidence after each workout because Aimee is always perfecting our technique. Love it and don’t want it to end!
